Paulette Rosner Baron has been beading since 1994 and teaching beadweaving classes in the Washington, D.C. area and across the United States since 1996. Formerly a graphic designer, she found her true calling with beads, a medium that fulfills her need to be creative and to work with color and design. Her three-dimensional sculptural pieces of art utilize different sizes and shapes of beads and are made using a wide assortment of off-loom beadweaving stitches. Paulette is the illustrator and co-author of Beading Across America and has been featured in several other books and exhibitions. She strives to make unique and original pieces that will both satisfy her need to create and keep her students busy with new projects.
Paulette is illustrator and co-author of Beading Across America: A Jewelry Inspirations from Coast to Coast, 2011, Kalmbach Publishing with Sherry Serafini and Amy Katz.
Paulette's Pinwheel Garden Necklace appears on the title page of The Beader's Color Palette by Margie Deeb. She has three projects, including on the cover flap, in Showcase 500 Beaded Jewelry by Lark Books. Paulette’s freeform sculptural brick stitch work is featured in Diane Fitzgerald's book, "Beading With the Brick Stitch." Two of her freeform sculptural peyote creatures were in the 2005-2006 traveling exhibition "The Beaded Figure." Her Pinwheel Garden necklace won 2nd place in the 2005 Bead Dreams exhibition. This piece is also in the Dairy Barn traveling exhibit “Bead International 2006”. Paulette is one of the artists featured in the Japanese publication “The Best Collection of Beadweaving Stitches by 9 American Bead Artists” by Kumiko Mizuno Ito.
Although Paulette has become well known in the beading community, she still strives to create unique and original pieces that will both satisfy her need to create and keep her students busy with new projects.
