Sheila Schanne was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. When she's not at her daughter’s bead store, Beads to Live By, she enjoys spending time with her rescued Shih Tzus, gardening, and raising Monarch butterflies. Sheila has been beading since 2001 and began designing and teaching classes in 2013. Although she occasionally likes to work with wire, beadweaving is her favorite. She never grows tired of the puzzle of using a variety of seed beads and multi-hole beads, determining the best fit and seeing what they want to become.
